section of Hickory.

parking in surrounding lots. If you're joining us for our early
service, you can enter around back where there is a drop-off area.
The 11:00 service is held in our sanctuary, which you'll see
clearly from Highway 127..
Sunday School
Sunday mornings offer the opportunity to
participate in a Bible study class
that is appropriate to your age and
life stage. Our Sunday School starts at 9:45am and is offered to
all ages. Our young children learn about the Bible while having
fun with games and crafts. Youth from 6th to 12th grades enjoy
fellowship and Bible study. There are many Adult Sunday School
classes that are defined by age and life stage. Volunteers will be
available to assist you in finding the perfect class for you and
your family.
Worship Services
Viewmont
Baptist Church supports two Sunday morning worship services.
Fresh Spirit is a
service that meets at 8:30 a.m. and is patterned after a
centuries-old liturgy but involving contemporary songs and
traditional hymns set in a less traditional form, and is
accompanied by musicians playing the piano, guitars, percussion
and synthesizer. The entire pastoral team from the church leads
worshippers in this service making it meaningful to all who
attend.
Our 11:00am service follows a
traditional format, but is vital and dynamic in its scope and
passion. This service is also developed and led by our pastoral
team. Hymns known and loved for centuries are sung in the same
service as newer, more contemporary hymns. Our largest choir, the
congregation, sings with enthusiasm all of these hymns of worship
and praise led by our organist and pianist. Our 40 member
Sanctuary Choir sings each week
and leads
the congregation in worship by singing beautiful, inspirational
anthems in a variety of styles.
Childcare for babies and preschoolers is available during both
worship services. |

Other Opportunities
Our church is about more than Sunday mornings.
There are many opportunities for worship, Bible study and
fellowship through the week, as well. From Wednesday night suppers
to Youth get-togethers to a variety of ways to help minister to
our community....there is something for every member of your
family.
